Stratford has an amazingly rich cultural life for a city of less than thirty-thousand people.
We don't take nearly as much advantage as we should. But this past Sunday, we did go to an opening at Gallery Stratford.
Alan Johnson: Uncommon Views and Margaret Pryde: Impressions both opened on Sunday. It was a good crowd and speeches were given by the artists.
The fact that we know both of them made the event that much better.
I highly recommend that you look around your area and find the local galleries.
Go have a look at the work. Become a member. Go to the openings. It's a wonderful way to learn to see the world from a new perspective.
And if you live near Stratford, these shows run until March 23. Check the website for details.
