Now that they've stopped closing the highways, it finally dawned on me: WE COULD EAT DINNER IN STRATFORD!!! And stand a good chance of making it back to Sebringville, THE VERY SAME NIGHT!

We chose Pearl Sushi for our first venturing-forth. And, whoa! What a great choice!
It's everything good sushi should be: fresh, fresh, fresh. Expertly prepared and with the added bonus that, if you're not quite sure what to order, the owner is happy to make recommendations.
We had a good variety, including maki, sashimi and some light-as-air tempura.
When we go back next time, we will try some new dishes, of course, but I must have more of the Dynamite Roll (tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber, caviar and the most wonderful sauce....).

I went to Pearl Sushi recently (August 11 2008) and thought it was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was decent, but the service was terrible. We waited an hour for food (and not all of it came!), had to ask for plates (what a luxury), were never offered refills on our water or tea, were never asked how we liked the food. The bill at the end included the food that we had not received. Our waitress had entirely disappeared from the place in the last 40minutes of us being there.
We left hungry and angry.
