Still Using That Microwave?

People look at us funny when we tell them that we still don't have a microwave. Never had one. Have no desire to ever get one. Initially, we couldn't justify the expense just to reheat coffee or defrost meat. We've never been too keen on what a microwave oven does to a foods texture. Now, it seems, there are better reasons not to like them.

My sister sent us a .pdf file showing a science fair experiment done to show the effects of microwaved water versus boiled water (both cooled, of course) used to water clippings from the same plant.
