Hot Buttered Corn

Because of this, we have been fairly inundated with vegetables this summer.

That doesn't, or can't, stop Alan from picking up goodies at the three farmer's markets he attends through the week.

Well, really, how can you say no to corn on the cob, picked not twenty-four hours ago? I certainly never do.

There are all kinds of recipes out there for things you can do with corn. And I'll get the chef to share his favourites with you.

But, as far as I'm concerned, one of the finest summer dinners out there is a stack of corn on the cob, just barely dunked in a pot of boiling water (don't overcook it!), slathered in butter and sprinkled with salt and pepper.

That, in its entirety, was our dinner last night.
