I was very pleased to find out that Alan's Grandfather has an entry in Wikipedia. He ran a chain of grocery stores in the 1920's. I like to think that that's where we get our entrepreneurial spirit (I also think that Genetics-by-Marriage is an under-studied science.).
Participating in the Apples and Thyme Roundup was a great experience for me. Through it I've found a whole bunch of great blogs that I hadn't seen before. I won't inundate you with all of them at once, but do check out A Tasteful Journey. It's very well-written, with lots of yummy recipes.
