Food Glorious Food

Oh, I love Paris!  It's just the perfect spot to be if you're a foodie!

Last night we had dinner at Chez Jenny, a large, traditional bistro specializing in Alsatian food.  Think sausage, sauerkraut, a million ways with pork, mashed potatoes.  And huge portions!

We waddled slowly home afterwards.  There was no dessert.

Today we wanted to start a little slowly.  We walked down to Notre Dame Cathedral and Ile St. Louis (one of my favourite parts of Paris).

On the tip of the island is Le Flore en L'Ile, another traditional bistro with a wonderful view of the back of the cathedral.

Salads, sandwiches, omelettes.  And wine, of course.  All served by waiters in aprons.

It was late afternoon by the time we were done, so we headed on home, stopping to pick up dessert on the way.

Alan and Chris (my sister) are out seeing what they can pick up for dinner.  We'll have a quiet night in.
