Comfort Food Mondays - Lunch Out With Friends

Good Food, Good Friends. What Could Be Better?

An observation today, instead of a recipe.

Sometimes the most comforting thing about a meal is the people you share it with.

But for people living busy lives, it can be so hard to make the time to plan a meal, shop for the supplies, cook the food and on and on and on.  Even when you keep it simple, it can seem insurmountable sometimes.  Which is sad, when all you want to do is to catch up with some good friends.

So my suggestion is, let someone else do the cooking!  Find a place that invites relaxing, that doesn't cost too much and have your friends meet you there.

We met some friends for Dim Sum in Stratford yesterday.  It was cheap, relaxing, enjoyable.  We ate some good food, got caught up on each other's lives and went on our way without having to do the dishes (and we left a decent tip for the person who did get stuck with the clearing up).

In fact, we had such a good time, we've decided to make it a monthly event.
